A surface-level detector for loose storage goods. Designed for the control of a variety of loose storage goods. The KARI MS is designed for the detection of the surface level in silos, in which loose storage goods, such as grains or gravel, are stored. Its functioning is based on the tilting of the float. When the surface of the loose storage goods in the silo reaches the level of the float, tilting it to an angle of 25°, a switch inside the float operates and causes a high-level alarm. The KARI MS can be used in ATEX-environment when using Exi-barrier.

The KARI MS consists of a cable and a switch enclosed within an airtight cone. This is fixed to hang from its cable near the opening of the silo. When the surface of the loose storage goods in the silo reaches the level of the float, tilting it at an angle of 25°, a switch causes a high-level alarm. In the installation of the switch, there is no need to worry about its tilting direction as the KARI MS issues an alarm irrespective of the direction it tilts in.
The KARI MS is available with three electrical contact types, rendering it suitable for a range of applications irrespective of their contact type. The KARI MS1 comes with a normally open (NO) contact, while the KARI MS2 has a normally closed (NC) contact. Thanks to its changeover (CO) contact, the KARI MS3 is an ideal choice when the application contact type is not known.
KARI MS silo switches are reliable and offer consistent top-notch quality. Each switch undergoes vigorous functional testing before it is delivered to the client.
